Marching Through Time

Saturday, 2003-04-12 and Sunday, 2003-04-13, Mrietta House Museum (see museum web site for directions)

Marietta House Museum will host Marching Through Time on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, 2003 from 11am-5pm. Admission is $5/Adults and $2/ Students (4-18 years). A wonderful opportunity to experience 12 centuries of living history! There will be period merchants, food and fun for all ages.

Re-enactors will depict period camp life, crafts, and perform weaponry, drill and tactical demonstrations throughout the day! See Romans, Gladiators and Vikings; watch the American Civil War unfold before your eyes; experience the American Revolutionary War and World War I & II. A multi-period living history encampment, with reenactors from Roman times through World War II. Mock battles and tactical demonstrations are performed all day long, and the public is invited to visit the camps and examine the participants and their accoutrements "up close and personal". Open 11 AM to 5 PM, admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students and seniors. On Friday before the event, a number of local schools bring groups of students in to see whatever reenactors have arrived to set up. Contact the site about this.
